The Alternating Air Mattress is an automatic, high performance air mattress recommended for the treatment and prevention of pressure injury in bariatric patients. The mattress is made up of air-cells with an alternating air cycle which is designed to reduce the requirement for nursing staff to reposition heavy patients.

With a maximum patient weight capacity of 400kg (63st) and the ability to be width expandable from 900mm (36”) wide to 1220mm (48”), the alternating air mattress has been designed to complement the aurum and aurum+ expandable bariatric bed.
